This email has been sent to you by your local policing team, due to a recent Theft in your area.
This is a priority for Northamptonshire Police, we have a dedicated team who work to detect such crimes and bring offenders to justice with your help.
Between 0800 on Tuesday 11th and 0730 on Saturday 15th August Unknown persons by unknown means have stolen a caravan on Claydon Road, Lower Boddington
Did you see or hear anything which might be helpful to us in our investigation or do you have any CCTV, Dash Cams and Ring Door Bells that will aid our investigation then please provide details via our online contact form on www.northants.police.uk or dial 101 or and quote Crime Number:26000488572 If a crime is in progress please call 999.
Crime Prevention Advice
The most basic home security measure is to simply lock up. This gets overlooked more often than you think and a surprising number of people leave windows open or forget to lock the door. Do not make it easy for burglars, take these simple precautions to reduce the risk of becoming a victim of crime.
Your home:
• Keep front and back doors locked at all times, even when you are at home.
• If you are out in the evening make sure you leave a light on and draw the curtains.
• If it is dark before you get home, use timer switches to turn on the lights.
• Light up your front door with dusk to dawn lighting and make sure it is visible from the street.
• Keep keys and valuables out of sight and reach from cat flaps, letterboxes and downstairs doors and windows.
• If you have a burglar alarm, use it.
Your vehicle:
• Always keep your vehicle locked and close the windows, even if you are only leaving the vehicle for a few moments.
• Always remove all items from your vehicle when parked, even an old coat may be enough to tempt a thief.
• Never leave keys in the ignition, not even at a garage when paying for petrol.
• Keep keys safe at all times, whether you are out or at home.

 Burglary is a particularly invasive crime that can have a lasting impact on victims. If you have been a victim and need support and help, you should have been offered victim support services, which in Northamptonshire are provided by Voice for Victims and Witnesses. Burglars do not want to get caught, so taking action to make your home or business premises safe and less attractive to thieves can go a long way to reducing the risk.
